6월 29일 제주도 경찰은 폭도들에게 납치되어 억류되어 있던 경비대원 2명을 구출했다. 경비대원 1명이 어승생악 인근의 폭도 보급품 은닉처로 순찰대를 안내했으며 경비대는 그 곳에서 5정의 소총, 수류탄 11개, 일본제 플라스틱 대전차 지뢰 6발, 유탄포탄 17발, M-1 소총 실탄 800발, 경찰제복 4벌, 헬멧 몇 개, 칼과 취사장비 등을 압수했다. (미군정 보고, B-2)

c. [illegible] Uncover Raider Supply Cache in CHEJU-DO
In 29 June the police on CHEJU-DO recaptured two Korean Constabulary men who had previously been captured and held prisoner by raiders. One of the concentration[illegible]men led patrols to a raider supply cache in the vicinity of SONGSANG-AK (948-1138) where the patrols confiscated 5 rifles, 11 hand grenades, 6 plastic Japanese anti-tank mines, 17 rounds of howitzer ammunition, 800 rounds of HI rifle ammunition, 4 police uniforms, several helmets, swords and cooking equipment.
