3. 작전
a. 제6보병사단 : 제20보병연대의 L중대와 미 제59군정중대는 9일 13시 30분에 제주도에 상륙하였다. 지휘소가 제주시에 설립되었으며 100명의 분견대가 모슬포에 급파되었다. 제6수색부대 소속 1개 소대가 12시에 목포에 도착했던 반면 다른 소대는 장흥에 도착했다. 그리고 나머지 부대들은 지금 고창에 있다. 제63보병 연대는 수상쩍은 청년단체 지도자 5인을 체포하였던 운주(1026-1457)지역을 제외하고는 별 다른 사고 없이 그들의 할당 구역 전체에 걸쳐 차량 정찰을 수행했다. (후략)

3. OPERATIONS FOR THE PERIOD:
a. 6th Inf Div:
Co L, 20th Inf, and the 59th Mil Govt Co debarked at CHEJU Island at 091330. A CP has been established at CHEJU CITY and a Det of 100 men was dispatched to MOSULPO (923-1115). A Plat of the 6th Ren Trp closed MOKPO at 1200, while another plat arrived in CHANGHUNG (990-1293), and the remainder of the Trp is now in KOCHANG (1090-1416). The 63d Inf conducted motorized patrols throughout their assigned zone without incident except at UNJU (1026-1457) where they apprehended five suspected leaders of the Young Mens Association. Div Arty relieved the 40th Div of further duty in CHINJU (1106-1356), HADONG (1074-1341) and SACHON (1108-1343). 1192 Japanese civilians departed MOKPO the SONGJONG-NI (979-1349) for PUSAN at 0300 and 0600.
