a. 제6보병사단 : 제20보병연대 소속의 혼합 일개 소대가 1948년 5월 14일 08시에 함정 편으로 목포를 출발하여 1948년 5월 14일 17시에 제주도에 도착했다. 제 20보병 연대 소속의 혼합 일개 소대는 1948년 5월 15일 13시 40분에 항공기 편으로 제주도를 출발하여 1948년 5월 15일 14시 47분에 광주에 착륙했다. 정보와 보안을 위한 경계부대들은 다음과 같이 구성되었다. 제1보병연대, 3개 기동화 정찰대; 제1야전 포병대대, 2개 기동화 정찰대.
군수 물자 3,820톤과 민간인 물자 20,024톤이 이 시기 동안 부산항으로부터 수송되었다. (중략)

b. 한국 국방경비대 : 이 시기 동안에 제주도에 있는 한국 국방경비대는 송당리와 교래리 지역에서 활동하고 있는 게릴라 부대들의 동굴을 수색하여 그들의 위치를 알아내고 소탕하라는 임무를 부여받은 채 이 두 지역 사이에서 작전을 수행하였다. 작전 결과는 다음과 같다. 포로 200명(포로 가운데 51명이 여성). 게릴라 7명 사망. 국방경비대 측 사상자는 없음. 포로들은 정밀 검사를 받기 위해 제주 임시 활주로에 보내졌음. (후략)

3. OPERATIONS FOR THE PERIOD
a. 6th Infantry Division: 1 composite platoon 20th Infantry Regiment departed Mokpo (938-1308) by boat on 140800 May 1948 closed Cheju Island (951-1152) on 141700 May 1948. 1 composite platoon 20th Infantry Regiment departed Cheju Island (951-1152) by air on 151340 May 1948 closed Kwangju (996-1351) on 151447 May 1948. Patrols for intelligence and security were conducted as follows: 1st Infantry Regiment, 3 motorized patrols; 1st Field Artillery Battalion, 2 motorized patrols.
3820 Military and 20024 Civilian Measurement tops were discharged from the port of Pusan during the period.
5. MISCELLANEOUS
b. Korean Constabulary: During the period the Korean Constabulary on Cheju-Do operated between Songdang-Ni (977-1147) and Kyorae-Ri (967-1142) with the mission of searching caves, locating and overcoming guerrilla forces operating in that area. Results of operations: 200 prisoners taken(51 women). 7 killed, no Constabulary casulites. Prisoners taken to Cheju Air Strip for screening.
