(3) Cheju-do Leftist Distributing Leftist Propaganda:
Information was given to Cheju-do CIC by a high ranking member of the Cheju-up Presbyterian Church of Kumnyong, Kujwa Kyon, Cheju-do (975-1157), to the effect that one LEE, Su Han, reporter for the Min Chung Ilbo, a Seoul Paper, was a leftist agitator and a possible espionage agent. LEE is reportedly an important leftist at Keumnyong, having spoken several times against rice collection, had distributed handbills, and had advocated Korea's becoming subjected to the Soviet Union. LEE was apprehended by Cheju-do CIC, interrogated, and incarcerated for further interrogation. There are indications that he is working in an espionage capacity for the South Korea Labor Party and/or for the Seoul People's Daily.
