경찰의 지원을 받은 한국군 제2연대는 4월 6일 성판악에 있는 폭도들의 은신처를 공격하여 폭도 3명을 사살하고, 24명을 포로로 붙잡았다. 또 토벌대는 다음과 같은 물자를 노획했다.

b. Security Force Operation Against Rebels on CHEJU-DO
The 2nd Regiment of the Korean Army, supported by police, attacked a rebel hide-out at SONGPAN-AK (950-1130) on 6 April. Three rebels were killed, and 24 rebels were captured. The security forces confiscated the following materials:
3 M-1 rifles
5 Carbines
22 Japanese rifles
4,000 empty Japanese rifle shell cases. (C-2)
COMMENT: The capture of the empty shell cases supports a previous report (Incl #1, P/R #1097) that rebels have facilities for re-loading ammunition for Japanese rifles.
