대한독립촉성청년동맹 제주도지부는 미군정 경무부장에게 서신을 보내 제주감찰청장의 퇴진을 요구했다. 청년동맹은 다음과 같이 감찰청장 신우균을 비난했다. (1) 이름이 잘 알려진 공산주의자들과 밤에 회합하는 일, (2) 좌익인사들의 위법 행위가 드러나는 것을 억제하는 일, (3) 모리배들과 뒷거래하는 일, (4) 공산주의자들의 조직강화를 증대시키는 일. (편지 날짜, 1947년 1월 18일)

General Youth's League For Acceleration of Korean Independence Requests Removal of Police Chief of CHEJU-DO - The CHEJU-DO branch of the Youth League for Acceleration of Korean Independence in a letter to the Chief of Police Affairs Department, Military Government, requests the removal from office of the Chief of the CHEJU-DO police. The Youth League accuses SIH, Moo Kyoon, Chief of the Inspection Office of the following: (1) having night meetings with known Communists; (2) suppressing disclosures of leftist offenses; (3) trafficking with profiteers; (4) increasing the power of the Communist organization; (SEO/3121, letter dated 18 January).
