(1) (EXTRACT: USAFIK G-2 Periodic Report #445, 1 February 1947): "General Youth's League For Acceleration of Korean Independence Requests Removal of Police Chief of CHEJU-DO -- The CHEJU-DO branch of the 'Youth League for Acceleration of Korean Independence', in a letter to the Chief of Police Affairs Department, Military Government, requests the removal from office of the Chief of the CHEJU-DO police. The 'Youth League', accuses SIN, Woo Kyoon, Chief of the Inspection Office of the following: (1) Having night meetings with known Communists; (2) suppressing disclosures of Leftist offenses; (3) trafficking with profiteers; (4) increasing the power of the Communist organization."
