13. 제주도로부터 들어 온 추가보고는 특히 반란군들에 대한 군대의 견실한 활동과 공격을 대비하는 체계와 군‧경의 우수한 협력에 대한 언급이 있다. CIA는 훌륭히 업무를 수행. 연대장인 송요찬 소령은 강력하고 적극적임. 활동상황은 다음과 같음.
10월 28일: 50명의 게릴라 공격을 격퇴했음. 경찰 4명 사망, 5명 부상. 최소한 3명의 게릴라 사망. 여러 돌 장애물 도로에 설치. 제9연대장은 17명의 부하들을 공산주의자 세포혐의로 체포
10월 29일: 군대와 게릴라간의 전투, 약 100명에서 135명 가량의 게릴라 사망 (중략)
18. 10월 29일에 사살된 게릴라 지도자 이덕구의 신원이 확인됨. 사망 당시 게릴라들 중 가장 고위 지도자라고 일컬어짐.

13. Delayed report from Cheju Do indicates healthy army activity, particularly in raids; system is patrolling attacks and excellent cooperation with Police. Central Intelligence Agency working very well. Major Song, Ragtl CO, strong and active. Activities noted:
28 October: 50 raiders attacked, repulsed. Police casualties, 4 Killed 5 wounded. At least 8 raiders killed.
28 October: Many stone road blocks erected.
28 October: 9th Ragtl CO arrested 17 men of Ragt (a cell).
29 October: Engagement KO vs Rebels, estimates of 100 to. 135 raiders dead.
Present activities characterized by nuisance raids against police and Army, and not against civilians with organized forces having upper hand.
18. Lee Duk Kn, Red leader, killed 29 October, has been identified. Said to be Number 1 leader there at time of death.
