대구와 인천 방첩대는 서북청년단 지부가 개편됐다고 보고했다. 이번 개편은 대동청년단을 탈퇴했거나 대동청년단에 처음부터 가입하지 않았던 사람들이 주도했다. 서북청년단 서울본부는 대동청년단과 합병을 승인받은 지부는 없고, 몇몇 지부가 대동청년단에 합병됐다고 거듭 밝혔다. 이 말이 퍼지고 있으며, 공식적으로 합병을 주도한 사람들은 서북청년단의 색채를 띠고 조직을 개편할 것이고 서북청년단의 설립 취지에 따라 계속 활동할 것이다.
서북청년단은 최근 지부를 결성하기 위해 사절단을 제주도에 파견했다. 그들은 또 여론조사를 실시하고 있으며, 목포 연안의 작은 섬 주민들을 계몽하고 있다. (목포경찰은 서북청년단원들이 잘 대접받고 있으며, 면과 군 주민들이 서북청년단의 대의명분을 위해 5만엔을 희사했다고 보고했다.)

NORTHWEST YOUNG MEN'S ASSOCIATION - Taegu and Inchon CIC report that the local branch of NWYLA has reorganized. This reorganization was accomplished by members who either resigned their membership in UYMP or who had refused to join UYMP originally. The Seoul Hq of NWYLA has repeatedly stated that no branches of NWYLA were authorized to merge into UYMP, but several branches have merged. The word is probably getting around and those who have formally merged will probably be reorganized under the colors of NWYLA and continue operation along their established lines.
SAW BOOK recently dispatched a mission to Chejudo for the purpose of organizing a branch of the association. They (SAW BOOK) are also conducting a public opinion poll and generally enlightening the islanders who inhabit the small islands off MQKPO. (MQKPO police reports that the visitors have been well received and the people of one Myun and Gun "donated" 50,000 yen to the cause of NWYLA).
