논평 : 10월 말의 제주도감찰청 보고에 따르면 경찰의 철통같은 감시로 밀수선을 타고 일본으로 떠나는 사람은 최근 거의 없다고 한다. 제주도는 많은 밀수업자들이 한국인 불법 밀입국자들을 태우고 일본으로 떠나는 장소였다.

c. Korean Smuggling Vessel. 10 Koreans Apprehended In JAPAN
A smuggling ship (7.5 tons) from KOREA, arrived at ASHIYA (370-206), FUKUOKA prefecture, on 132300 October with one Japanese and 10 Korean passengers and a crew of four Koreans aboard. Japanese police apprehended the vessel and passengers. The captain and crew escaped. (Eighth Army PA #698)
COMMENT: A late-October police report from CHEJU-DO, from where many smugglers sail for JAPAN with their Korean illegal immigrants, says that fewer people are going to JAPAN on smuggling boats lately because of a strict police watch which is being maintained.
