Civil Disturbances 1-15 Mar 49: a. Armed Korean [illegible], the majority of civil disturbances in South Korea from 1-15 Mar, occurred in South Cholla Province, which continues to be rebel stronghold for activities on the Korean mainland. Aggressive action by the Republic's armed forces resulted in the death of more than 385 rebels during the period.
