파괴활동
이 시기 공산주의 폭력행위로 우익인사 1명이 숨졌다. 추후보고서는 제주도에서 게릴라 활동이 재개됐다고 밝혔다. 1948년 9월 15일～18일에 5명이 폭도에게 희생됐다. 폭도들은 또 자신들의 권위를 세우고 힘을 과시하기 위한 시도로 마을주민들을 납치하거나 협박했다. 지서 1곳이 방화됐으나 피해는 없었다. 10월 1일 경찰과 공산주의자들 간에 소요가 발생했다.
우익이 부추긴 폭력행위와 관련한 보고서는 입수하지 못했다.
정체불명의 정파 관계자쪽의 폭력행위 사실을 요약하면 1명이 암살 당하고 개인에 대해 1차례 습격이 있었다.

WEEKA Number 40, 25 September through 1 October 1948.
Section 1. South Korea.
-Subversive:
1. Communist violence during the period included 1 Rightist killed. Delayed reports disclosed a renewal of guerilla activities on Cheju-Do. Between 15-18 September 1948, 5 persons were killed by raiders. Raiders also abducted and intimidated villagers in an apparent effort to increase their prestige or demonstrate their power. One police box was fired upon but no damage resulted. On 1 October trouble broke out again between the police and Communists.
No reports were received concerning Rightist-inspired violence.
A summary of facts of violence on part of persons of unknown political affiliation include one assassination and one attack on an individual.
