5월 17일의 대사관 <전문> 제554호, 5월 20일의 제574호, 5월 20일의 제576호, 5월 20일의 제580호에 보고한 사항을 제외합니다. 다음은 5월 9일의 대사관 <전문> 제511호 이후에 발생한 유엔한국위원단의 상황입니다.
1. 엘살바도르 대리대표 에르난데스(Hernandez)가 5월 14일 서울에 도착했습니다. 중국 대표 리유(Liu), 필리핀 대표 루나(R. Luna)는 협의를 끝내고 5월 14일과 16일 각각 서울로 귀환했습니다.
2. 유엔한국위원단은 3월 26일 서울을 떠난 시리아 대표 무길의 교체 위원을 유엔 사무총장에게 요청했습니다.
3. 유엔한국위원단은 5월 23일 유엔 군사감시단 제안을 고려할 것입니다.
4. 유엔한국위원단 일행은 5월 14일 제주도에서 서울로 귀환했습니다. 보고된 소요사태는 거의 완전히 가라앉았고 평화적으로 실시된 5월 10일 선거를 시찰했습니다.

1. Hernandez, El Salvador alternate, arrived Seoul
May 14. Liu, Chinese delegate, Luna, Philippine
delegate returned Seoul after consultation May 14,
May 15 respectively.
2. UNCOK requested SYG UN secure replacement for
Hughir, Syrian delegate departed Seoul March 26.
3. UNCOK will consider UN military observer proposal
May 23.
4. UNCOK party returned Seoul from Cheju Do* May 14.
Reported disturbances almost entirely abated, and
observed election held May 10 which went off peacefully.
