3월 21일자로 된 2건의 방첩대 보고서에 따르면 제주도의 우익 대한독립촉성국민회와 한국독립당 제주도지부는 조직도 빈약하고 자금도 충분치 못하다. 각 당은 섬 전체에 단지 1,000명의 회원이 있을 뿐이다. 두 당은 좌익인사들의 심한 반대로 정치적 활동에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 제주도의 좌익에 대한 여러 보고서에 따르면 좌익인사들은 제주도 인구의 60～80%에 이르고 있다. 제주도에서 파업 사태로 고무되었던 좌익인사들은 최근 많은 지도자들이 체포됨으로 해서 정치 상황에 어느 정도 영향을 받을 것 같다.

(2) Rightist Parties on CHEJU-DO
Two CIC reports dated 21 March state that the Rightist National Society for Acceleration of Korean Independence and the Korean Independence Party on CHEJU Island are poorly organized and lacking in funds. Each party reportedly has only about 1,000 members on the entire island. These parties have met such stiff opposition from the Leftists on the island that they find it difficult to do anything politically. Various reports of Leftists on CHEJU-DO state that they comprise from 60 to 80 percent of the population. The recent Leftist inspired strike on that island may have some effect on the political situation as many of the leaders were arrested.
