Cheju-Do: (EXTRACT: XXIV Corps G-2 Periodic Report #610, 18 August 47): "Grain Collection Officials Attacked - Approximately 50 persons made a recent night attack against three provincial government grain collection officials in CHEJU (950 - 1150). At the start of the attack a lighted lantern in the officials quarters was snuffed out by a stone thrown by one of the attackers. The mob then beat the three officials with sticks. Police arrested three suspects the following day."
