제주 총파업 돌입

일부 경찰을 포함한 제주의 미군정 직원들이 3월 13일 파업에 들어갔다. 파업은 남로당이 선동한 것으로 보고됐다. 소요는 보고되지 않았다. 미군정은 전라남도에서 경찰 125명, 전라북도에서 경찰 100명을 선발하고 3월 14일 오전 목포항을 통해 급파할 계획이다.
제주에 주둔하고 있는 제51야포병대대의 한 소대는 원인불명의 불이 거의 이틀에 한번 꼴로 제주비행장 활주로에서 일어난다고 보고했다. 방화범들은 체포되지 않았다.

√ (1) CHEJU (951-1151) MG employees, including a fu.. of the Police Department, went on strike on 13 Mar. The Strike is reported to have been engineered by the "South Korea Labor Party" (new name for the Communist Party). No disturbances reported. MG plans to dispatch 125 policemen from CHELLA-SOUTH Province and 100 policemen from CHOLLA-NORTH Province on the morning of 14 March from the port of MOKPO. The platoon from the 51st FA Bn, stationed on CHEJU reported that fires of unknown origin are started approximately every oth..r night on CHEJU airstrip; the arsonists have not been apprehended.
